EDUCATION
The Executive Chairman has taken bold steps to
mediate for communities that do not have Primary
schools, their children go to other communities or
Benin City for their primary education.
The Executive Chairman also took the advantage to
Partner with (CSDA )Community Social
Development Agency to Renovate Oba Eradiawua

Other Education Projects
- Construction of a block of 6 classrooms and
office at Igbekhue Primary School - Renovation of a block of 6 classrooms at
Obareren Secondary school.
TRANSPORT
The Executive Chairman has also strengthened the
LGA owned Transport Line called Ovia North East
LGA Line by Purchasing one Toyota Sienna Bus
and Refurbishing the five Toyota Hummer Buses.
RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROGRAMME
PHASE ONE
Upon the resumption of the Executive Chairman in
office, communities approached him with their
lighting challenges, mostly Transformer Challenges
such as:
- Faulty Transformers.
- Low capacity of existing Transformer due to
increase in population and usage. The Executive
Chairman went round the Communities,
authenticated complaints and purchased Seven
new Transformers for the following seven
Communities: Utese, Uhugua, Ogheghe,
Uduhengie, Okada, Obareren and Isiuwa
(NIFOR) Communities.
This is One of the

and delivered to Utese
Community. According

to the increasing population of the community

The Executive Chairman also keyed into the Rural Electrification Programme of The CSDA
(Community Social Development Agency) by partnering with the Agency to mitigate Okada,
Oluku, lsihon and Obagie Communities in the Counterparts funding for the purchase and
installation of new Transformers
SECURITY
There’s no doubt, the Executive Chairman has taken
Security of the Ovia North East LGAto be his almost
priority as he achieved the following in the security
sector:
- Purchased of motorbikes
- Logistics support to security agents to aid
regular Surveillance/Patrol and bush Combing - Refurbishment of the Patrol Vans for the
Nigeria Police Force Area Command,
Ekiadolor, Okada, and Evbuoubu Divisions. - Sponsoring of Monthly Peace and Security
Meetings.
RURALROAD REHABILITATION
The Executive Chairman also undertook the
Grading, rehabilitation and maintenance of some
Community roads in the LGA:
- Palliative and Maintenance work on the failed
portion of Benin – Akure Road. - Grading of Earth roads in the Thirteen Wards
of the LG
EMPOWERMENTPROGRAMMES
This administration of Hon. Collins Ogbewe has
carried out a lot of Empowerment Programmes for
Youth, Men and Women such as:
- Partnership with Edo-Job training of 100 persons
on how to fix and repair industrial sewing
machine. - Partnership with Edo-Job in training 200 Youth
on POPmaking - Empowerment of 500 Youth & Women in ICT,
Vocational training and skills acquisition. - Partnership with the Federal Ministry of
Petroleum Resources to train 500 youth on the
use of Liquefied Pressure Gas (LPG)
ENVIRONMENTALSANITATION
The LGA Chairman has also made an impact in
ensuring Ovia North East is clean.
- Ensuring regular cleaning of the Markets,
Desilting of the gutters and Clearing of sands and
Dirts from tarred roads across the LGA. - Regular Clearing of verges from roads across the
LGA.
